PANCERA: 

The World of The Renegade Saga

This is a map I created on inkarnate! It has all the various lands, kingdoms, and countries that exist in my world. In future posts, I will go into more detail about each location. The long-term goal is to have the map published in the beginning pages of The Life of a Renegade Saga. 🖤 

Like a true fantasy novelist ;) 

INSIDER INFO:

The prince's family belongs to the Herriot Kingdom, and the baby he finds during the fated battle belongs to their enemy, the Orio Tribe. The book begins 10 years later on the Island of Ino, and the duo shortly embarks to the Vistal Republic, where they stay for the remainder of BOOK ONE.

Likes: Carrots, Royce

Dislikes: Loud noises, Corinne (sometimes)

Hopes: Adventures in new lands

Fears: Thunderstorms

Appearance

Coat: Light grey coat with dark grey speckles.

Hair: Dark grey, wavy, and thick.

Eyes: Charcoal grey/black and changes color in thunderstorms.

Body: Medium-sized horse, agile and robust, with a lot of endurance.

Personality

A loyal, trusty steed that is calm by nature. Selected breeding combined the agility and endurance of an Arabian with the strength and stability of a Thoroughbred. She has been well-trained early on and can navigate difficult and dangerous terrain. The only things that rattle Bella are thunderstorms and loud noises.

Annabelle loves Royce fiercely, and they have an almost telepathic bond. Her trust in him developed over years of attentive care and training. She does not have the same bond with Corinne since she associates her with upsetting crying sounds from infancy.

Bella is happiest on an open road and under a starry sky, a true adventurer indeed! 🤠

Skin: Dark brown skin (mocha).

Hair: Tight, black chin-length curls worn in pigtails, ponytails, and out free.

Eyes: Bright, large, round golden eyes.

Body: Short and a little skinny.

Clothing

Top:  A pale yellow cotton dress and a brown leather jacket.

Bottom: Short, white cotton socks with frills.

Shoes: Black Mary Jane style shoes.

Accessories

• A light cedar prayer beaded necklace.

• A thin leather bracelet beaded with a small opal gemstone.

Weapons

1. A slingshot made of wood, a rubber strap, and a burlap pouch for stones.

Personality

Corinne is spunky, full of energy, and she loves life. She is clever, brave, and can generally hold her own, although she occasionally needs Royce's protection. For the most part, she enjoys her adventures in life and just wants to be happy.

Unknowingly she provides emotional support to Royce with her childlike innocence and good nature. Through all the struggles they may go through, she usually is oblivious and uses her sunny disposition to make the best out of any situation. Corinne is very friendly with others; however, she struggles to connect to peers her own age. Corinne has grown up on the road and loves to be active and play outside. Although she loves Annabelle like a pet and family member, she does not feel comfortable riding her alone. Corinne adores Royce and is slightly possessive of him, copying everything he does (but not listening to him!). Corinne loves jewelry, coins, gems, and anything sparkly or pretty. Much to Royce's dismay, she has been known to wander off to collect flowers and pebbles in her spare time. 🌻

Gender: Male - he/him

Age: 22

Zodiac Sign: Capricorn

Talents: Plays guitar, sings

Hobbies: Martial arts, meditation

Likes: Freedom, riding Annabelle

Dislikes: Most people, excessive wealth

Hopes: A peaceful life

Fears: Losing Corinne

Appearance

Skin: Med/light brown skin (butterscotch).  

Hair: Long and curly black hair that goes midway down his back. It's worn in a low ponytail or braided when he goes into fights.

Eyes: Dark brown eyes with long eyelashes.

Body: Slender with toned muscles. He is agile and strong.

Clothing

Top: A cream-colored cotton shirt underneath a forest green vest and a long, leather, dusty brown jacket.

Bottom: Dark brown cargo pants with pockets on all sides and a black leather utility belt.

Shoes: Black leather boots.

Accessories

• A brown floppy leather hat.

• Monk prayer beads made from sandalwood. 

• A silver locket necklace with a picture of his mother inside.

Weapons

1. A long wooden staff.

2. A medium-length sword.

3. A lightweight bow and quiver of arrows.

Personality

Royce is a strong, silent type who tries to stay in the background but usually finds himself in trouble. People tend to underestimate him because of his pretty face and long hair. Over the years, Royce has learned to stand up for himself and have more confidence. Although, he has never been able to completely shake his "formalness" from his childhood as a prince, and as a result, he behaves stiff and is socially awkward sometimes.

Royce is proficient in fighting with his staff but can also fight with a sword, bow, and arrow. He meditates and trains daily with great discipline. Royce is always ready to fight and defend Corinne and himself, yet, he refuses to take a life. He prefers the simple life out on the open road, riding his loyal horse, Annabelle. Royce likes to fish, sing, and play guitar during his downtime.

Royce is very cold to others but is warm and kind to Corinne (when she's not getting on his nerves!). Although he raised her since she was a baby, they have more of a loving brother and sister-like relationship. He meditates and trains with Corinne and teaches her everything he knows. Corinne is the only person in the world who Royce truly cares about (for now 😉).

I am very excited to begin sharing The Renegade Saga world with you! It has been decades in the making, from when I was 15 years old until now. Over the years, it has morphed and grown with me and with our ever-changing world. It has matured and taken on a shape I can genuinely be proud of. 🖤

Although Life of a Renegade is still a work in progress, I've decided to share my writing process and development. I do this for two main reasons. For one, I enjoy seeing the physical manifestation of my work. It keeps me excited and motivated to write (a necessity for ADHD). Plus, I love watching my story continue to establish and grow. 

Reason number two is, The Renegade Saga is begging to be seen. My world wants to expand, and my characters want to breathe. The steady pulse that is the lifeblood of my story is alive, robust, and beating rhythmically like a drum. For half of my life, and now is the time to share it with all of you!

The Renegade Saga wants to be known.

This is the story that must be told.

A baby, a prince, a horse, and a dream of freedom.

With that being said...

I am also a proud mama bear over my creation, and I will protect it fiercely!
